Forensic Psychophysiology has become greatly improved over the years due to the application of scientific validation,coupled with the application of highly accurate and improved computerized systems and instrumentation. As such, it has become a very valuable tool for both investigative purposes, when used tocover multiple issues, as well as for diagnostic purposes, when used to focus on specific events. Because of this, it has been increasingly recognized by various courts for its use in specificlegal applications.
Our Polygraph Examinations usually take 2 hours or more, depending, and consist of the followingsegments:
- A Pre-Test Interview (including test question review)
- An Acquaintance Test
- The Polygraph Test, which includes the recording of 3 or more Polygraph Charts (as needed)
- Final TestResults
- A Post-Test Interview
- A Written report
It should be noted that when an Examinee has a Significant Reaction (test failure) to a question or questions in a Multi-Issueexam, a Breakout Test can be performed for an additional cost. The Breakout Test is usually conducted on another day, and consists of one or more Single-Issue Exams. The purpose of theBreakout Exam is to determine whether or not the Examinee shows significant reactions or deceptiveness to a specific question or event.
